Lazy Bird

I have nowhere to hide
lend me your arms
and I’ll take refuge.

The saxophone symphony
blares through a note here
and some there.

I look to you
for some melody
will you give me some rhythm now ?!

Oh but the bird sings,
she wants to tell you
you are all that stays.

Do you not hear ?
Don’t try to look,
maybe listen a bit.

All she wants to say
is right here
in the violin she plays.

Do you here them trombones ?
All in a day’s work it is.

Don’t worry about no visions, darling,
the world is beautiful, whole.

We’ll share this body,
and I’ll look through your soul.
